Are their any high lvl kahunas that use bows?

I've never heard anyone talk about this concept and since I'm currently lacking a high lvl kahuna to test it on, I was wondering what everyone else has to say.

I personally don't get why a kahuna isn't a normal bow user at all. In my opinion any class in any game should be long range if their attacks are mostly DoT.

I mean if you look at their attacks...They have buffs for their basic attack which still works fine with a bow. They also have quite a few holding /slowing moves. I understand that its good for catching another player on the run, but doesn't it make decreasing movement speed nearly useless if you are going to run up to the mob anyway? Their spells are long range too so its not like you lose half your skills at a distance.

Yes i do understand that if you are dping and the mob isnt attacking you; it doesnt matter if your up close or not. I also get that if you want to use a bow, just use a fighter class.

the only two benifits i can see with using a two handed mace/dagger over a bow/crossbow is the magic attack that comes with the mace and the mastery skills.




can anyone cure my confusion?

Personally, I tried a bow with my Kahuna and it wasn't that great. Chainsickle wind doesnt slow them down enough to stop more than one or two hits, even at lv11. With a +2 or higher Shackle card it might be a feasable strategy. But with water who gives a crap if you're being hit anyway?

Also I don't like using Daggers or 2h Maces with my Kahuna. We just don't use enough M.Atk to make Maces a feasible option. I use spears with mine, even without the mastery skills it still smashes 2h Mace for total damage done.

Only problem with spears is that EWL doesn't work too well with slow attack speeds. But Daggers miss so often that they are hardly any better. And if you even think about getting a crossbow then you shouldn't be playing at all.

just out of curiousity, why a spear instead of one of the other two handed weapons?

Yeah like I said... its an incomplete list.

EWL = Enchant Weapon: Lightning

And Kahunas are inaccurate. Axes go very poorly with them. Staff is just a joke for Kahunas, and I can't think of any other 2h weapons except Mace...
