Job Level for 2nd Job?

Hi fellow rappelers!

My friend and I are currently very close to our 2nd job. I was wondering, what should my job level be compared to my character level? Example: Jb lvl / Lvl.

the requirements are lvl 50/jlvl 40

If I'm not mistaken...by raising your job lvl past 40, you can get better stats when you change to r3.

Errr, sorry about that... What I meant was, what should my Job level be when I am at my 2nd job? And I have changed my class. Though the information was helpful!

I decided to raise my jlvl to 20 without raising any skills first. this allowed for increase in stats. the reason being that the skills i wanted to increase first required jlvl 15 and 20 and also the skills are so darn expensive

some people did the opposite, which is to raise skills first.

i do not think that there is a set answer
