Make sure to uncheck that stupid free toolbar that comes with it. Evil or Very Mad

Uninstall Tips:

When you uninstall a program it still leaves registy keys behind affraid. However, you can get rid of these pesky bugs by clicking on Start, Run, and type in regedit in the box, then go to Edit, Find or hit Ctrl+F to bring the box up, and type in the product/program you uninstalled and delete all keys related to it.

Try a better Browser for faster speeds/downloading

FireFox 2.0x
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

Opera Browser 9.2x
http://www.opera.com/

Also, Always make sure to clear your cache, temp, and history. If your computer gets a little slow.

You can also go to My Computer, C Drive, Windows Folder and delete everything in the Temp and Prefetch Folders. To help speed your computer up alot! There is no harm with doing this.

What Prefetch is: Basically a folder with a collection of information of programs to help make them load up "faster" while slowing your machine down if you have so much inside the folder. Evil or Very Mad

Also make sure to clear your private data from time to time.
This includes stinkin/usersnames. This is just for your protection against hackers/intruders.

It is also imperative to defrag, use disk cleanup, and search hard drive for errors.

I hope this helps. I will continue to update this on my spare time Razz

Startup/Services

Go to start, run, and type msconfig in the run menu and hit enter.
That will bring up options for enabling/disabling startup/services items.
You can uncheck start programs up at windows start, which will free up more memory, and quicker start up/programs loading.

You can also go to start/run/ type services.msc and disable any services that you dont want to free up memory also.

For all Video Gaming related problems try:

1. Update video drivers. Latest drivers can be found at your video card manufacturers site. If you just CAN'T find them then post your Video card make and i'm sure someone else will find them for you Razz

2. Defrag. This is mostly for lag issues. I haven't defragged in over a year and it really slows down you're computer.

Also. If you're computer crashes and won't turn back on at all. It's a safe bet that you blew your PSU to bits. If you're monitor is constantly turning off/on then don't replace your monitor before checking your GPU! There's a fair chance it's because your GPU was fried (Check that fan next time! They aren't cheap!)
